Surf Turf

Covelong or Kovalam beach sees the best surf times between April and September, or what the locals call chithirai to avani maasam. The Bay of Bengal has a rocky surface besides curving at a bend to generate enough high tide, making it a natural fit for surfing. This coast inherits the wave conditions in Bali two or three days later.

Rameshwaram coast ideal for kitesurfing, windsurfing, scuba diving and the increasingly popular SUP (stand up paddle boarding). The adventure season follows the flow of the monsoon. We partner with Quest Adventure Sports Academy to offer different types of trips and tours.

Mahabalipuram – or ‘Mahabs’ as we locals like to call it – is a classic beauty boasting silver sandy beaches, gentle waves and a treat for history lovers. A quick one-hour drive from Chennai down the East Coast Road (ECR) offers a nearly uninterrupted view of beach and waves all the way to this World Heritage site.
